The Souls of Black Pebbles
The film is about a black conservative haunted by the death of a murdered unarmed man. The plot revolves around the idea of sexual soul ties where spirits of past lovers feaster, so we depict the body as a haunted house rather than an actually dwelling. With situations ripped from the headlines, this scary, sometimes funny and engaging look at black queer survival is definitely an entertaining thrill ride!

Jonathan and Andre are best friends who have loved 'Waiting to Exhale' since they were kids. Now as black gay men, their appreciation for Terry McMillan’s classic deepens when their adult lives seem to mirror the situations of the woman of the film they love so much. Just like Robin, Gloria, Bernadine, and Savannah, will they both learn to let go of all the things holding them back or will they continue waiting to exhale?
